What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Rincon Pickleball Club collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Rincon Pickleball Club web app, including tournament, profile, and scorekeeping features.

This is a general operational policy for the current version of the app. It is intended to describe how the service works today and may be updated as the app changes.

Information we collect

When you create or use an account, we may collect your email address, authentication provider details, display name, profile photo, language preference, and other profile details you add in the app.

When you use tournaments, matches, standings, courts, and casual game features, we may collect registrations, match results, scores, participation history, and related club activity records.

We also collect technical information needed to operate the service, such as session cookies, local storage data, device or browser details, IP-based logs, and diagnostic information from hosting and authentication providers.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, create and maintain profiles, run tournaments, record scores, calculate standings, manage club operations, provide support, secure the app, and improve reliability.

We may also use information to send operational emails such as magic links, sign-in messages, and account-related notices.

How information is shared

Information may be visible to other club members or other signed-in users where needed for the app to function, including profile names, avatars, tournament participation, scores, standings, and match history.

We use service providers to run the app, including Supabase for authentication and database services, Vercel for hosting, Resend or similar email infrastructure for transactional email, and optional sign-in providers such as Google or Facebook when you choose them.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of users or the club, or to investigate misuse of the service.

Cookies and similar technologies

The app uses cookies and similar storage technologies that are reasonably necessary for authentication, session continuity, security, and app functionality.

The app does not currently use third-party advertising cookies. If analytics or additional tracking tools are added later, this policy should be updated accordingly.

Data retention

We keep account and tournament records for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the club, preserve match history, maintain standings integrity, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our rules.

Some information may remain in backups, logs, or historical records for a limited period after deletion requests.

Your choices

You can update certain profile information inside the app. You may also request account deletion or correction of inaccurate information through the club administrator.

In some cases, we may retain limited records that are necessary for tournament integrity, safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or legitimate club recordkeeping.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for maintaining control of your sign-in methods and for notifying the club promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Children

The app is intended for club use. If a minor uses the service, a parent or guardian should supervise that use and the club administrator should be informed if removal of information is needed.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material updates may be posted in the app, and continued use of the service after an update means the updated policy applies.
